Grand Teton Distillery.

Grand Teton Distillery produces multiple Gold medal winning vodkas and Double Gold medal winning bourbons and whiskies. Using quality local and regional ingredients like Idaho potatoes, locally grown fruit, pure glacier water from the Tetons and processing techniques like charcoal and crystal filtration is what gives them their much deserved clout.

For having such an amazing award winning product and reputation, their identity and packaging was sub par. Grand Teton Distillery approached us with the need to overhaul these items to match the quality of their stellar product.

Embodying the land.

Identity

Grand Teton Distillery is nestled at the base of the Teton mountains in Driggs Idaho. This unique location is engrained in the brand’s DNA. It’s this land, its history and its people that make Grand Teton Distillery a unique experience and product. The logo is a translation of the location, farmland in the foreground and the unique tall peaks of the Tetons silhouetted in the background. The typography speaks to the rich history of the region taking inspiration from the wild west and ranch life.

The official vodka of Yellowstone.

Vodka Packaging

Grand Teton Distillery’s vodka is their flagship product. The challenge was to create a package that embodies the new identity, speaks to vodka drinkers, and encapsulates the flavor as well as the tone of the brand. Compared to the whiskeys, these are brand forward and slightly more refined in attitude.

But, this is still a brand that embraces freedom and the outdoor lifestyle, so we created a portable 375ml aluminum flask featuring a carabiner to take on adventures. This 375 is the only vodka sold within the bounds of Yellowstone Park, and therefore is the official vodka of Yellowstone.

Tall peaks and tall tales.

Whiskey Packaging

The Grand Teton Distillery whiskey packaging tells stories of legendary pioneers, frontiersmen and adventurers of the wild American west. From Teddy Roosevelt’s dagger-clad bout with a puma to a bloodthirsty manhunt by Blackfoot tribesmen, these labels celebrate the western spirit of adventure, tenacity and grit.

The design series features custom illustrations showcasing the respective story, as well as handcrafted type inspired by Americana. The aesthetic is intended to communicate the rugged nature of the stories as well as the place in which the whiskeys are made, the Teton mountains, while maintaining a modern feel.
